Traditionally, creating data driven applications in JavaScript was a tedious task. But a new framework has come on the scene to make data binding in JavaScript much easier. Dave Nicolas is back to show us how the Knockout framework can help us create data driven apps with data binding and templates. This is one tool you're going to want in your toolbox. Also, Jeremy Miranda will introduce us to some very cool technology. Arduino is an open source micro-controller and Jeremy will be showing us how to interact with Arduino via the web. That's right, control a device from the web. This promises to be a fascinating night.

We will also be giving away more books, swag, and another one-month subscription to PluralSight.

Speakers:

Dave Nicolas is a senior Software Architect, passionate about technology. He has been developing software for 10 years and primarily focuses on Microsoft technologies. However, he is open minded to other platforms available in the open source community. His main responsibility is to dictate design choices, including but not limited to: platforms, coding and technical levels. His goal is to gain a complete understanding of my clients’ needs and effectively implement a software solution which complies with his clients' policies and procedures. He currently works as a Technical Lead at Trulite and holds a BS in Computer Science from Florida International University.

Jeremy Miranda served nine years in the Marine Corps as a Communications Chief (Electronics Maintenance). He has a B.A. in Psychology and is working on a M.S. in Computer Science. Jeremy builds custom devices for local start-ups, works in C++ and Java, and has aspirations of becoming Tony Stark.
