Company name:
Blazor is a revolutionary single-page app framework for building interactive web apps with .NET Core. Client-side Blazor uses WebAssembly, an open web standard that does not require plugins in order to run natively in a web browser. Server-side Blazor uses SignalR to host your application on a web server and provide a responsive and robust debugging experience. Blazor applications work in all modern web browsers, including mobile browsers. In this session Shaun Walker will provide a deep dive on creating web applications with Blazor and will showcase a new modular application framework written using Blazor called Oqtane. Oqtane was originally conceived as a proof of concept to determine if Blazor would be capable of supporting a modular application framework. Taking inspiration from DotNetNuke, it utilizes many concepts from this pionering open source .NET CMS. Specifically it supports multi-tenancy, a fully dynamic page compositing model, designer friendly skins, extensibility via third party modules, and a familiar data model. That being said this was not a migration project; Oqtane was built from the ground up using modern .NET Core patterns and technology.
